Sunday Fun

We woke on Sunday morning to the pitter patter of litte feet.

Miles promptly annouced that " it was light outside so we can get out of bed" .......... and out of bed we were!

The boys, and I mean all the boys, enjoyed wathcing some cartoons whilst devouring pancakes and ceral, all before 8am!

We then packed up the inflatable bed, with the help of Miles and Davis. Thanks to David for oddly made a game out of it!

It was then off on an adventure to Central Park!




















We made our way to the jungle gym, climbing rocks and then onto the sandpit. There is no place better in New York for boys to explore, even grown up ones!

Sleepover

This weekend we had Davis and Miles over for a sleepover. It was the first time the boys have spent the night away from their parents, so everyone was a little nervous!

The boys were dropped off in the early afternoon, so we made good use of the sunny weather and outdoor space by setting up the hot wheels track outside.

I'm not sure who was having more fun, David or the boys!

It was then onto dinner, followed by popcorn and a Star Wars movie.

Before we knew it, sleeping bags were pulled out and bedtime was upon us- bless!

New BBQ

Nothing says "happy anniversary" like a cheque from your in-laws!

With a new apartment and summer approaching we decided to bite the bullet and buy our first BBQ. I can't tell you the joy and excitement that was over David's face!!

Within no time, it had been bought, assembled, fired up and cooking our first round of burgers!

All OK!

It appears my love of blogging in the recent months has finally caught up with me.

After several concerned emails and one text message "are you alive - no blog updates in a week?!" - just a little shout to let everyone know we are all OK!

Work has been busy, the parents are due to arrive next week and we are still recovering from Friday night - photos not appropriate for posting!

Happy Birthday Miles

Last Saturday was Miles 4th birthday and we headed up to Irvington to celebrate. Erin and Mick has orgainsed a feast in the local park of all Miles favourite food plus cake and face painting!
































































It was then home to open presents. David and i were little concerned that we hadn't gotten the correct Hot Wheels race track. However when David asked Miles if this was the right one, his answered, "No .................. this one is way cooler!"

Phew!

M&N & Entourage

Friday night we met up with Michael and Natalia for some old fashion New York fun , a Yankees game!
They trashed the White Sox 6-4 and hey guys were treated to several home runs, so it was great night and fantastic catching up with M&N- again!

Last Day in Paradise

After 5 wonderful days it was time to say good-bye and take few lasting shots of the island - enjoy!

Wedding Anniversary

Our trip to Turks and Caicos was to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. After another day lazying about the beach, we then enjoyed some champagne as the sun set.



































It was then onto dinner at the Bay Bistro whose Head Chef previously worked at Milton Park in Bowral, AU where our good friends Renee & Jon got married, so it was a nice Aussie tie-in.

The funniest part of the night was exchanging cards, only to discover we had bought the same ones!

To be honest there wasn't a whole lot to do in the Turks other than relax and splash around in the water..........as demonstrated below!
