Hair Today...

Hair today ............. gone tomorrow!

Last week I chopped 12 inches of my hair to donate to Locks of Love. It is a public non-profit organization that provides wigs to financially disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medical hair loss.

As I am often commented on my hair I though this a really great idea to contribute to a great cause. It feels great to be back to short hair, and I am still enjoying surprising people with my new look!

If you think this is something you would like to do, please go to www.locksoflove.org for more information.

County Line

It has become a Curtis-Miller tradition that our final meal in Austin is at County Line BBQ. It is simply the best, juiciest and delicious BBQ in Austin.

Huge servings, big sides, fresh bread and cold beer!

The Capital

As Austin is the Capital of Texas, on Monday we stopped by the Capital for a tour.

I found out that their sister-city is Adelaide in Australia!

We had a great time walking around the beautiful surrounds, and stepping into AC with the temperatures soaring over 100F/40C!

Time for some family pics!

Baby Grace

The best thing about our trip to Texas was seeing baby Grace!

She is the MOST precious thing and we are so happy that we got to spend some time with her. Cute as a bug!

Riverwalk & Alamo

Nothing fixes a pounding head like a breakfast burrito!

Afterwards we headed back into town to see the Riverwak (by day) and the Alamo. I was so happy to experience the history of Texas, it is such a part of David that I finally understand and appreciate.

The Riverwalk....

Night out in San Antonio

After a quick, and extremely successful trip to the outlets, we made our way to San Antonio.

Big thanks to Susan for bringing us doughnuts and coffee for the trip!

We met up with Patti and David and enjoyed a Mexican dinner along the River walk .....

......before hitting some bars for some fun......

..... and shenanigans!

The hubby's were so excited we decided to let them tag along ......

......whilst we planned a few more girls trips :)

Weekend in Austin

Last Friday we hit Austin for Labor Day and to visit our good friends Debbie and Andrew, and their new baby girl Grace.

We got her off to a good start with a little treat from Tiffany's.......

"get your hands off my ribbon charlie!"

Charlie was as cute as ever, and grown a whole bunch since we saw him last. However he was quite confused as he has an Uncle Alex.....so on Saturday morning he woke up and asked "Where is Lady Alex?"

Love love love it!!

Sara in town!

Apologies apologies for my tardy blogging this month!

We have been super busy as the summer comes to an end, but I am back on track now.

A few weeks ago Sara was in town. She is good friends with Jocie so I got all the updates on Miss Olivia and Mike. We headed to Da Silvano in the West Village and enjoyed burrata filled ravioli with truffle oil, lobster gnocchi and traditional bolognase - yum!
