Amy's Visit to LA
On Friday my friend Amy came to LA to on her way back from Boston. We are especially excited as Amy's new job requires her to be on the east coast at least 2-3 times a year. We are hoping she will be a frequent visitor once we are settled in NYC.
We had a great day visiting Venice Beach, Santa Monica and then onto the Sunset Strip.

The famous 'muscle beach' at Venice Beach.

Pacific Park at Santa Monica pier.

At the end of the pier..... and then the top of the ferris wheel

What a view!!

That way to Australia!

Dinner at Saddle Ranch on the Sunset Strip

Too much food!

I was soo sad when we dropped Amy off at the airport - it made me very homesick for all my friends back in Australia. I cried the whole way home :(

Introducing Julia Kelly
It seems all our friends are having kids - again!
Last week we caught up with Chad, an old college friend and his lovely wife Shar.
Whilst it is always lovely seeing the Kelly's, this time was especially wonderful as we got to meet their newest addition - Julia. Chad is quite the sport with now 4 women in the house!
And frankly Shar - looking gorgeous in all her post natal glory - puts the rest of us without kids to shame!!

and like an angel she slept the whole time

Viva Las Vegas
This week we headed to Las Vegas - viva Las Vegas people!!
We had a great time catching up with friends, exploring the strip and seeing the new Cirque De Soleil show "Love" featuring music by the Beatles.

For some old school fun we headed to the Liberace Museum honoring the King of Bling!

Who doesnt need a pink rhinestone studded Rolls Royce?

.....or a rhinestone studded piano?

When all else fails ........say it with feathers people!

The New Boys Night In
Last night Debbie and I decided to see the new movie - "He's just not that into you'. We decided Andrew and David could stay at home and have a boys night with Charlie.
The fun really started when Debbie's friend Augustina decided to join us. Thus leaving her husband Frank, and 3 month old twins Rocco and Cooper at the Miller house.
3 men, 3 babies, 2 dogs let the madness begin....
