Morimoto is a Japanese fusion restaurant, co-owned by Chef Morimoto of Iron Chef fame. The cool surrounds were designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, known for his post-modern designs and the use of exposed cast-in-place concrete.
So clearly it was a win-win for the foodie and the architect!

The food was amazing and presentation flawless.
We munched on lobster fritters, thinly layered sashimi towers with individual sauces, soft shell crab and caviar sushi, and wagu strip steak with cervices.
All washed down with lycee cocktails!

The evening took form after our good friend Sucheta sent us a gift voucher for the Starr Restaurant group.
Originally intended for a fun night out at Buddakan, where we ate when Suchi visited, I did not want to compete with the fantastic memories of that night :)
After some research, I stumbled across Morimoto and thought this would suit nicely and was approved shortly thereafter by Suchi.............and then David!
So a big shout out and THANK YOU to Ms Suchi for the generous gift voucher and fantastic night out- here's to you!
