High-line & High-end

On Sunday after lunch at The Standard, we sweated walked along the High-line from the Meat packing all the way up to Chelsea. It was around 100CF hot and muggy, and needless-to-say we did not last long outside.

God bless expensive Chelsea shops and air conditioning. We were so inspired Fiona and I bought matching jackets- ohh la la!

Fiona in Town!

It was the week of house guests. Just as soon as we said good-bye to Kere & Alison, Fiona arrived from the UK! We had a pretty relaxing weekend, with some much needed sleeping, shopping and eating!

On Saturday we hit Vezzo, our new fave pizza joint for some thin crust and vino.

Mole

What else to do after a long day at the Zoo but eat fabulous Mexican food? We mad our way down to Mole in the West Village, after a quick round of cocktails at the Gansevoort Roof Top Bar!

Bronx Zoo

Last week we had a treat from Australia- Alison and Kere in town! For something different, and because Alison is such an animal lover, we made our way up to the Bronx Zoo. I have to say this is one of NYC biggest kept secrets, and I was taken aback at the size of the grounds and the proximity to animals - it was truly amazing.

Happy 4th

Cannot believe it is July 4th ready!!?! Happy Birthday America!

It was too hot to do anything except go to our fave new restaurant in the West Village "fish" and cool down with oysters, wine, lobster and good company!

The gang was complete with Jessica and Robert, Lorin and her sis Kara, Yosuke and Manami.

Ziggy Marley and HeadShine

Our trip to Rhode Island co-coincided with David's college flat mate touring with the Ziggy Marley band. We joined in the fun and made our way over to Newport to watch them play and then got down with Ziggy- it was a great night had by all!

The next day all we could do was sit at the beach!

 A few weeks ago  we made our way up to Rhode Island to see Jeff, Zenna and Christopher. As school was out, we took Christopher to the batting cages to get some practice in - and we were all a bit sore afterwards!
